The board recognized six students who advanced to PMEA Region III Band and congratulated two students selected for the 2026 Westsylvania Blues and Jazz Festival All Star Jazz Band. The minutes name Leah Bowersox, Maddy Bobby, Paige Forberger, Isaac Oravec, Bryan Neff and Kathleen Hodge as advancing to PMEA Region III Band and congratulate Jude Kokus and Bryan Neff for All Star Jazz Band selection.
CCEA Representative Dana Schweitzer and classroom teachers reported on student projects: Miss Sikora's ELA classes are publishing a class book, Personal Finance students discussed car loans, 3rd graders studied Apollo missions ahead of NASA's Artemis launch, and 4th/5th graders are coding robots. Mrs. Kukla described a 5th grade moon-phases coding project and said, "The students were learning and having fun at the same time. They took what they learned about patterns in space and incorporated coding to create their projects. I love seeing their minds at work by meeting and overcoming the project's challenges." The minutes also note Nurse Van Fossen offering CPR training for interested high school students on March 20.
