The Central Cambria School District Board on May 11 moved forward a Proposed Final General Fund Budget for the 2026–27 school year with revenues set at $28,552,580 and expenditures at $29,669,317, and a millage rate of 62.75.
The Finance Committee’s motion to adopt the Proposed Final Budget passed with eight board members voting in favor and one opposed. The board recorded May 31 as the deadline to adopt the Proposed Final Budget and June 30 as the deadline to adopt the Final Budget. A special meeting to address outstanding budgetary issues is scheduled for June 10 in addition to the regular June 8 meeting.
Board members approved routine financial motions at the same time, including April disbursement payments, items listed in the May accounts payable batch and inclusion of the March Food Service Operating Statement in the minutes. The board also approved a recommended contract renewal with Metz Culinary Management for food service management, pending final approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
