Clerk Joanne Long read the formal call of the meeting and the legal notice establishing the hearing at the Harold D. Fayed School. The board reminded residents the official budget vote is scheduled for May 19 from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the North Merrick Library; an open house is planned May 18 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Materials and slides for the budget presentation are available on the district website for public review.
