Board approves personnel consent items including resignations and monitor appointment

The Canajoharie Central School District board approved personnel items on the consent agenda, which included a resignation and several appointments. The Chair read personnel items and the board approved the package by voice vote.

The meeting recorded the resignation of monitor Jennifer Rooney and the appointment of Eric Holcomb to the monitor position; staff noted Holcomb can also serve as a driver monitor if needed. Staff also said the district found a local math teacher candidate and additional science teacher hires, and added substitute bus drivers and a substitute cleaner for personnel-process reasons. Chair and staff praised having returning, familiar substitute workers such as Larry Smith and Brian Chrisman, citing institutional knowledge as beneficial.
