The board approved a set of operational and programmatic items: the Claymont Virtual Academy handbook for 2026–27, a Title III English Learner consortium contract with the Stark County Service Center, and a contract with Wood Electric to perform fire‑alarm upgrades at Claymont High School funded from Permanent Improvement (PI) funds. The district also approved use/rental of school buses for YMCA summer programming and Dennison Depot events with all costs charged externally, and a list of KSU nursing students for observation hours.
Athletic supplementals for 2026–27 (cheerleading, boys' and girls' basketball head coaches, bowling head coach, winter weightlifting and other assistant roles) were approved pending credentialing, and the board authorized payment for IVC and OHSAA tournament workers. The board recognized Sharon Grove’s retirement and thanked her for years leading the cheerleaders.
