Board approves multiple personnel contracts, non‑renewals and program agreements

The board accepted several staff resignations and retirements, approved new multi‑year administrative contracts (including Brian Watkins as middle school principal) and approved multiple certified and classified staff contracts for the 2026–27 school year. The board also approved non‑renewal of certain one‑year limited contracts and the hiring of summer custodial staff and a summer technology intern pending credentialing.
The board approved policy and program paperwork, including handbooks for each school, an updated policy 7.35 on Career Advising, a College Credit Plus memorandum of understanding with Ashland University and a placement agreement with Western Governors for student teacher placement. The motion was made by Ms. Campbell, seconded by Mrs. Grandison and carried on a roll call vote with all members voting yes.
