Claymont board approves resignation and several staff contracts

The Claymont City School District Board of Education approved a set of personnel actions during a June 30 special meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Annette Buxton effective at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year and approved a one-year limited contract for Mallory Moreland at BA step 3 for the 2026–27 school year.
The board also approved two-year limited contracts beginning July 1, 2026, for Lindy Lippencott, listed as Assistant Treasurer — Payroll, and Laynee Dorland, listed as Financial Secretary/Assistant Treasurer — Budgetary. The personnel actions were adopted as part of a single motion that Mrs. Host moved and Ms. Campbell seconded; the motion was recorded as carried in the meeting minutes.
