District honors seniors, DECA finalists and state-champion quiz team

The board opened with a district-produced May video featuring seniors who discussed college plans and favorite school memories. Superintendent Dr. Melissa Stewart introduced student ambassadors and recognized a series of student achievements across grades.
Stewart highlighted students who will pursue arts and military careers and listed 17 seniors recognized during an arts/military signing day (names and destinations were read aloud). She also noted DECA competitors and two students recognized as finalists for the Upstander Awards. The board specially honored the Indian Hill High School academic quiz team for winning the Division 2 state championship at Olentangy Berlin High School in Columbus on May 2; coach Missy Hardy described the team’s comeback and preparation.
"The moment is not bigger than you," coach Missy Hardy told the students, praising their poise under pressure. Student speakers also described teamwork and the thrill of competition. The board invited students and award recipients to the podium for photos and congratulatory remarks.
