At the March 23 meeting the Springfield Board approved multiple construction and facilities contracts as part of its finance and capital projects agenda. Resolutions included awarding the Boiler Replacement project at Thelma L. Sandmeier Elementary School to DeSesa Engineering Company, Inc. for a base bid of $388,000 and awarding the Renovation of the Life Skills Room at Jonathan Dayton High School to Drill Construction Co., Inc. for a base bid of $382,850.
The board also approved contract entries for Hannon Floors (Jonathan Dayton High School flooring replacement, cost not to exceed $502,948.28), D&E Window & Door (JDHS window replacement, cost not to exceed $181,986.60), and two Generations Services contracts for JDHS audio and house lighting (costs not to exceed $123,775.68 and $104,301.08 respectively). These projects are funded through bond funds, capital reserve, or existing referendum project lists as noted in the agenda.
