Board approves amended Culver's drive‑thru plan on West Bluemound

Elm Grove trustees voted unanimously April 28 to approve an amended conditional use permit that adds a second drive‑through lane at the Culver's located at 15280 West Bluemound Road.

Planning staff described the proposal and mitigation steps to limit impacts on nearby Watertown Plank condominium residents, including installing a matching offset fence and preserving an existing Arborvitae buffer. Planning staff summarized the plan: "the request is to add this 2nd drive through lane here that's being added," and noted that the fence will be installed and maintained by Culver's contingent on building‑board approval. Trustees and residents told the board they were satisfied with the communication and compromise reached at the Plan Commission meeting.

The motion to approve was moved and seconded and passed with an oral vote; trustees also discussed coordination on lighting, trash management and the timeline for matching fencing installation. Applicant and condo representatives were present at the meeting and confirmed ongoing discussions and the commitment that Culver's will install and maintain the fence.
