Superintendent Dr. Stewart presented several items for board consideration, beginning with program approvals: a kindergarten "kick start" mini-program to run several days before school for a $200 tuition, and new SAT prep offerings priced at $225 for single-subject courses and $425 for the full prep course. "This is going to be several days right before school starts," Dr. Stewart said when explaining the kindergarten kick-start structure.
On personnel matters, the superintendent highlighted certified-staff contract approvals and named new hires. "Katie Prasanki is going to be our primary school music teacher," Dr. Stewart said, noting a thorough hiring process. He also announced that Mitchell Hardy will replace longtime music educator Chris Rocin, who is retiring. Dr. Stewart also flagged an updated recruitment and retention bonus for bus drivers as an agenda item and previewed administrative assignments including Whitney Buell as assistant superintendent of teaching and learning and a new director role for alumni engagement.
