Commission approves $400,000 from economic-development funds to help Riverpeak Hospital kitchen project

The Fremont County Board of Commissioners voted to allocate $400,000 from the county’s economic development fund to help Riverpeak Hospital install a kitchen. Commissioner (speaker 3) made the motion and Commissioner (speaker 1) seconded; the board voted in favor.

During discussion several commissioners described the allocation as a cautious, early commitment contingent on future budget considerations. One commissioner said the figure was ‘‘a cautious number'' and suggested the board could revisit the allocation in September to reconsider priorities after the primary funding picture is clearer.
