Dr. Lutinski told the board the district is preparing a refreshed strategic‑planning process anchored to Pleasantville 2026 and the New York State Portrait of a Graduate and will ask parents, students and staff to complete targeted surveys ahead of the school year. "We're really looking forward to a strong start to the year and a really productive strategic planning year for the district," he said.
He said administrators held a retreat to prepare crosswalks between the district goals and state expectations, and that a steering committee of community stakeholders will be recruited to review survey results and help shape final recommendations. Dr. Lutinski also reported that extended school‑year programs, summer camps and building maintenance work are underway and that the new school calendar has been mailed to families.
