Administration reported that custodial teams and staff are finishing cleaning and preparing buildings for the start of the school year, and that in-service planning and scheduling are nearly complete. Athletic programs enter the season with scrimmages and practices scheduled; staff noted that registrations are running through a new online system, which staff said is working better than paper-based processes.
"It's clean, and they've gone through just about everything," an administrator said when summarizing building readiness. Claire, a staff member coordinating family supports, said community groups and local businesses supplied nearly 200 backpacks and donated school supplies; the district will run its clothing swap during open house and coordinate distribution through the Chamber of Commerce and FFA.
Board members thanked staff for the logistics work and noted the new scoreboard installation and other activity preparations as positive steps before students return.
