Regents, field trips and art show highlighted as Tioga Central wraps the school year

Student member Miss Eden Cooper and district administrators used the June 10 meeting to summarize end-of-year academic and extracurricular activity. Miss Cooper reported that Regents testing had begun, that NHS will host a spike-ball tournament on June 16 and that Planting Fest is scheduled for the coming Friday; she also noted FFA held its banquet on June 3 and that Vida Rossi and Gavin Albrecht qualified for state track competition.
Principals and directors added details: the elementary school completed UPK and kindergarten screenings with a make-up screening planned for early August; 1st-grade kite day and a 3rd-grade Wax Museum were held; multiple field trips to sites such as Tanglewood and Stewart Park took place; middle-school trips included a Rumble Ponies game and Knoebels; the Science and Discovery Center presented on campus; and senior events were scheduled (senior walk/picnic June 16, senior trip June 17–18, Senior Awards Night June 23, graduation practice June 25, graduation June 26). Superintendent Joshua Roe praised the district art program and introduced two student cleaners to the board as examples of successful student-hiring initiatives.
