Board approves discharge, names accounting associate in personnel actions
Summary

The Tioga Central School District Board of Education carried a motion May 6 to discharge Nathan Jaye from employment, with his last day of service listed as May 6, 2026.
The action followed an earlier executive session called “to discuss the employment history of a particular person leading to the dismissal of a particular person,” the minutes state. The motion to enter executive session was made by Mr. Gregory Schweiger and seconded by Mr. Robert Seymour and carried 5-0; the board returned to public session three minutes later.
In the same personnel consent agenda the board approved the permanent appointment of Rebecca Kithcart as Accounting Associate I, with a probationary period April 28, 2025–April 27, 2026 and a retroactive permanent appointment dated April 28, 2026. The board also approved adding Josh Reis to the 2025–26 substitute list.
The motions on personnel were recorded as unanimous, each carrying by a 5-0 vote.
