Chris, a high school staff member, told the board that the FFA has been selling sweet corn and congratulated Jill Van Scandalous for receiving the Outstanding FFA High School Agriculture Educator Award for Section 4. He said the HOSA chapter is waiting to hear whether the district will receive a DPI rural health transformation grant "in the amount of $40,000," and that seven high school students completed CERT training to serve as an on-site student emergency response team during the school year.
Chris also noted the high school band hosted its annual marching camp and that football and girls golf have begun practicing while cross country and volleyball will start next week. The board received the report and offered thanks to staff who supported transfers and summer work.
