Administration presented a draft academic calendar for next school year with 181 student days and 185 staff days, a later Labor Day, no two‑week holiday recess and a double‑sided calendar to distinguish official days off from cultural observances. The administration said students would start Sept. 8 and that the calendar is tighter than in previous years.
On snow days and remote learning, administration reiterated the district's policy that students cannot be penalized for not having internet access or a device on a remote learning day. "We cannot penalize a student for not having Internet, for not having a device at home on a learning day," the presenter said, and described required accommodations for graded work, including in‑school time to complete assignments when access is lacking.
