Business officer: 99% of school taxes collected; capital project to go to bid next month

Frankie May, presenting the business report, told the board that the towns of Eden and Evans have remitted final school‑tax payments and the district received 99% of expected tax revenues; unsettled balances have been turned over to Erie County for collection and reimbursement in January. "We did receive 99% this year, which is great," May said.
Superintendent Fortisio added that following the capital‑project vote, the district will go out to bid in about a month with construction planned for summer 2026 and summer 2027; the work will include the middle‑high roof, some parking and curbing, and classroom projects at the GLP site. Fortisio said he expects to return in February with bid results.
