Student council: Arctic Raider races, Red Ribbon Week and a winter dance planned

Treya Emmick, speaking as the student council representative, gave a brief rundown of recent student activities: the Arctic Raider races (16 teams) held before winter break; Red Ribbon Week (Jan. 5–9) with outside presenters on drug prevention; a 7th-grade fundraiser at Red Robin on Jan. 22; and a planned high-school winter dance on Jan. 30.
"We had 16 teams this year, and this is our 3rd annual," Emmick said of the Arctic Raider races. She closed the report by thanking the board and confirming the upcoming events.
The board thanked her and moved on to the roundtable agenda.
