On the superintendent’s recommendation, the board granted tenure to Amy Maskell as a physical education teacher effective Aug. 31, 2026. Presenter Lauren LaRosa highlighted Maskell’s leadership in school events and student programming. "Amy has been an exceptional physical education teacher... she teaches the whole child," LaRosa said. The motion carried on a voice vote.
Michael Cabrera (referred to as "Coach K" by speakers) was also granted tenure as a physical education teacher after presenters described his cross‑building work and extracurricular coaching. William McDonough was recommended and approved for tenure as secondary principal effective Sept. 6, 2026; the superintendent provided an extended endorsement citing McDonough’s instructional leadership. Board members offered congratulations to each recipient following formal approval votes.
