Board recognizes January Crystal Apple award winners across district

Miss Goldman presented the substitute Crystal Apple to Dr. Gina Poovey of Gaffney High School and described Poovey's choral and piano teaching and commitment to students: "Dr. Poovey has served as a choral and piano teacher throughout the fall semester, and she has done impeccable work with her students."
Other honorees included Roger Logan of B.D. Lee Elementary for classified‑staff excellence; Tina Blackwell of Blacksburg Primary as the administrator recipient; and Emma Price of Drakeville Elementary as the certified teacher honoree. Trustees congratulated the winners and offered brief remarks about school visits and student programs.
