Local Republican and Democratic parties publicly censure school board over charter denial

Later, Washina Fowler White, introduced by the chair as representing the Cherokee County Democratic Party, told the board the Democratic Party issued the same censure on the same day and urged greater accountability, transparency and a recommitment to students' educational welfare.
Board members listened but did not take action at the meeting on the censure statements; the comments were entered into the record as public participation.
