Presenters listed local partnerships with WCCQ radio, Gaffney Little Theater, the Musical Instrument Foundation and the Kids Club of Cherokee County and said they had submitted a comprehensive five-year budget plan and compliance documentation.
Presenter Pat Hyatt told the board the school will use the Core Knowledge curriculum with an added arts component and will not operate as a stand-alone private competitor. Supporter Waseena White Fowler said the proposal is about the community’s children: "Investing in education is invest is an investment for us all." The team also identified financial and accounting consultants and said it is pursuing multiple funding channels for instruments, buses and facilities equipment.
