The Laurens Central School Board approved a slate of personnel actions on June 17, including summer work assignments, CROP staff appointments, contract amendments and new multi-year contracts.
Among the actions the board approved were additional summer days for Tom Lisi (15 days at 1/200th of his annual salary) and Ross Gardner (10 days at 1/200th); Summer CROP appointments including Jessica DeBoer as site coordinator and several activity leaders; and a provisional appointment of Christopher Bayne as custodial staff starting July 1, 2026 at an annual salary of $39,936 pending the Otsego County civil service exam. The board also approved three‑year contracts for Logan Barra (Maintenance Worker), John Kessler (Head Bus Driver), Katie Lossi (Building Principal) and Pamela Weir (District Clerk/Confidential Secretary). The retirement of Family and Consumer Science teacher Lynette Lyons (effective Aug. 31, 2026) and resignations (including Kylie Miller, effective June 30, 2026) were accepted. Motions were recorded as carried unanimously, 4–0–0.
