Board Chair Beth Harrison called the meeting to order, led the Pledge of Allegiance and said, "this meeting is being audio and video-recorded." Superintendent Michelle Jensen introduced Mike Scott as the facilitator for the day.
The morning retreat agenda listed sessions on "The Power of the Board–Superintendent Team," roles and responsibilities, goals for 2026–27, communications and operating principles, and board agenda planning for the coming year. Board members and district leadership indicated the session was designed as a facilitated planning and alignment exercise rather than a public hearing or formal decision meeting. No motions or votes occurred during the work session; the board is scheduled to discuss agenda planning at the June 8 regular meeting.
