The Pendleton School District 16 Board of Directors convened its regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. on March 9, 2026, and approved the March 9 agenda on a motion by Director Patrick Gregg, seconded by Director Ryan Lehnert. Board Chair Beth Harrison announced the meeting was being audio and video recorded.
Chair Harrison asked to pull the financial report from the consent agenda to request additional details. Michelle Jones, the district's Director of Business Services, explained that most February expenditures were within expectations, noted two months of invoices from First Student for transportation, and said recent HVAC repairs at the Pendleton High School (PHS) auditorium, Sherwood Elementary and the PELC were complete and functioning as designed. Jones also reported that the district received a delayed first payment from the Common School Fund in February and that the second payment is scheduled for July 2026.
After the clarification, the board approved the remaining consent items and then approved the February 28, 2026 financial report (motion by Director Patrick Gregg, seconded by Director Jill Pace).
