Music consultant highlights growth of Bristol music program, requests board and borough support

Downey told the board that the program began with nine students and is expected to exceed 50 in the high school next year; he said the high school will present its own concert and that the grade‑school concert is scheduled for the following night.
Downey also previewed a trip to Hershey for adjudication, praised the instrumental and choral teachers and asked the borough to support a proposed commemorative display honoring a past band leader. Trustees thanked Downey and encouraged attendance at the concerts; the board noted the district’s music offerings are expanding and that choral music and theater arts will have more opportunities next year.
