Board accepts retirement and resignation, approves staff contracts after executive session

The Granton Area School District Board convened in executive session at 7:18 p.m. under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider personnel matters and returned to open session at 8:25 p.m. Clerk Jamie Elmhorst reported no action taken while in executive session.
Following the executive session, the board took several personnel actions in open session: it approved the retirement of Tim Steinbach and thanked him for his service; accepted the resignation of Madelyn Nelson with thanks; approved teacher and bus driver contracts for the 2026–27 school year (roll call showed one abstention by Daniel Schoessow); and approved the District Administrator and 4K–12 Principal contracts for 2026–27. Motions and seconds were recorded in the minutes for each vote and carried as noted.
