Superintendent uVona Copeland told the board on July 16 that cleanup work at Dunbar is close to completion and that several teachers have volunteered to help reassemble classrooms. Copeland said the Dunbar cafeteria painting is nearing completion and that the primary school's cafeteria floor will be waxed; the Y‑Camp summer program will continue to run for students.
Copeland also reported the high school elevator has been repaired but is awaiting inspection before it can be used to move the remainder of the high school furniture into the building. Board member Leroy Parker asked about the elevator's age and Clerk Vickie Jones questioned Board Policy #1017; Copeland responded to those inquiries in the meeting minutes.
