The Colman-Egan School District board voted to approve a fixed-price proposal from ISG to complete design development, construction documents, bidding administration and construction administration for a proposed athletic complex on land east of the school.
Chair introduced the proposal by noting, "So the new bid is 340,000," and said the contract follows ISG's predesign work approved in late 2025. Board discussion emphasized that the contract covers site-specific design work only and that final field layouts, finishes and whether all track-and-field events can be accommodated will be decided later. Scott said the district will work with the construction manager (Pitts) on bid packaging and scheduling once plans are available.
The board voted in favor of the contract after a motion; no recorded negative votes were called during the roll. The motion to approve was made from the floor and carried. Next steps identified by staff include geotechnical work, topography and boundary research already completed during predesign and a back-and-forth process with Pitts to prepare a maximum bid package and advertising timeline.
