A discussion about graduation regalia took place during Board Member Reports on June 8, 2026.
Vice President Kristy Fischmann asked Superintendent Thomas J. Colabufo to address whether Club America could wear stoles at graduation. Colabufo said stoles have been reserved for academics and military, but club members could wear cords to represent their organizations. The board majority agreed that stoles should remain reserved for academic and military recognition; the minutes note students may decorate caps as long as decorations are not inappropriate.
