The top priorities identified by respondents were academic achievement and student success, field trips and enrichment, followed by safety and security.
The committee highlighted three cross-cutting themes — financial stability, academic excellence, and safe schools — and emphasized the need for improved trust and transparency following the budget deficit conversation earlier in the year. Survey participants favored email as the preferred communication method (84%), requested plain-language updates and asked for more detail ahead of decisions. The board pledged to use the survey to guide targeted follow-up sessions and community engagement.
