Region 4 South gives board update on crisis team, ACT program and funding

Kesha Anderson, administrator for the Region 4 South mental‑health consortium, gave the board a broad annual update on programs that serve Stevens County and neighboring counties. She said the five‑county mobile crisis team is a 24/7 program serving adults and children, “We serve about 30 to 45 new clients a month,” and that the crisis team grant increased from roughly $816,000 to more than $1,000,000 for 2025–26, allowing modest improvements to staffing and outreach.

Anderson also described the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team as a multi‑disciplinary program that is certified for up to 50 consumers and carries an approximate annual budget of $1,200,000. She told the board ACT had been identified as a high‑risk program in a statewide fraud review but that Region 4 South received revalidation and certification last week; she warned that, because of the designation, the state could hold billing payments for up to three months if issues arise. The presentation also covered AMHI funding timelines and a forthcoming vendor application cycle for two‑year grants.
