Superintendent welcomes student representative, recommends business teacher hire

Superintendent opened the business meeting, congratulated the graduating class and welcomed new board member Miss Longo and student representative Sofia Staphos to their first board meeting. In introducing the student representative, the superintendent said Sofia is "a mature young woman who consistently demonstrate integrity and compassion," and invited her to participate in board work during the year.
On personnel, the superintendent advised the board that there is a resolution on the agenda recommending "Mister Hickes" for the high school business teacher position and said the recommendation will be held for the board's vote. The superintendent noted the district looks forward to providing support to students and thanked staff for recent graduation efforts.
