Miss McEntee presented the winter student-athlete celebration and an update on physical education, health, and athletics. "I'd like to begin with our winter student athlete celebration," she said, then listed team accomplishments: 24 varsity programs, four JV teams, 14 middle-school programs, and eight varsity teams qualifying for postseason competitions. Several student athletes were named for county and state-level competition.
The presentation also covered curriculum and operations: FitnessGram implementation for middle and high school, a virtual-reality exercise-science pilot to teach human anatomy and heart-rate zones, plans to expand CPR/AED and first-aid certification options in the coming year, and facility upgrades to gym sound systems, bleachers, tennis courts and varsity baseball fields. Presenters thanked trainers, nurses, custodial staff and boosters for supporting athletics.
