Oysterponds approves cleaning, translation, psychologist contracts and shared special-education director
Summary
The board authorized contracts for cleaning services (up to $35,000), translation services (up to $3,000), school psychologist services (rate attached), transportation reimbursements for two families, and a shared Director of Special Education with Greenport UFSD at $22,160 for 2026–2027.
Trustees authorized multiple contracts and service agreements for the 2026–2027 school year during the Aug. 11 meeting. The board approved a cleaning-services contract with Beth’s Santillo Cleaning not to exceed $35,000 and authorized an agreement with Dalia Coria for translation services for up to $3,000 for the period July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027.
The board also approved school psychologist services with James Dibble (rate per attached agreement) and transportation reimbursements for two families sending children to Peconic Community School in Cutchogue (caps of $6,250 and $6,405). In addition, the board authorized a shared-services agreement with Greenport UFSD for a Director of Special Education/CSE Chairperson for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 at a cost of $22,160 payable to Greenport. These and related items were approved as part of the consent batch on a 5–0 vote.
