The Oysterponds Union Free School District Board of Education elected Thomas Stevenson as Board President and Janice Caufield as Vice Board President for the 2026–2027 year during its July 7 reorganizational meeting. Erin Stanton nominated Stevenson; Philip Mastrangelo seconded the nomination. The Board recorded the vote as 7 Yes; 0 No; 0 Abstain and administered the Oath of Faithful Performance.
The elections occurred early in the meeting after the District Clerk, Linda O'Leary, called the session to order. The newly seated president assumed the chair and the meeting record includes the district mission statement. The appointments were formal motions and carried unanimously; no alternate nominees were recorded.
