The board approved multiple capital-project items and contractor awards during its March 30 meeting.
Resolutions G2 and G3 authorized project allowances with Burrell’s Excavating: $32,000 to remove pavers and replace them with concrete in the front PS/HS parking lot and $13,900 to install a new asphalt walk on the south end of the primary/school (totaling $45,900). The board also approved Phase 3 alterations and the bid award to Day Automation/Stark Tech. Superintendent Nicholas Colosi said construction would begin during spring break and continue through the summer, and the district plans to install a new phone system on May 8. Colosi added that salvaged pavers and bluestone will be reused elsewhere in the district and discussed drainage and footer/column testing at the middle-school entrance.
The resolutions were approved 5-0 as part of the package of G1–G6 actions.
