Oxford Academy board reviews proposed 2.9% tax-levy increase, bus purchase propositions

Erin Gramstad, the district's School Business Manager, presented the proposed 2026–27 budget at the Oxford Academy and Central School District annual budget hearing, noting that "the state budget has not yet been approved" and that "the district will propose a 2.9% Annual tax levy increase." The presentation also included two voter propositions to purchase diesel buses and to purchase an electric bus for the transportation fleet.
Gramstad told the board the levy figure is the district's current plan as state aid levels remain uncertain. The hearing record shows no formal motion to adopt a final levy at the meeting; the budget and propositions were presented for public review ahead of the May 19 budget vote at the high school media center, noon–8 p.m. The board did not receive any public comment during the hearing. The Board previously scheduled the May 19 vote and will publish final ballot language and proposition details in accordance with election notice requirements.
