The Oxford Academy & Central School Board voted to authorize the district to purchase two diesel school buses and to finance them through serial bonds following voter authorization earlier in May. The resolution specifies a 42‑passenger diesel bus with wheelchair package at a maximum estimated cost of $205,917 and a 65‑passenger diesel bus at a maximum estimated cost of $179,904, for a combined maximum of $385,821.
The board also resolved that the purchase constitutes a Type II action under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act, meaning no further SEQRA review was required. The motion to approve the financing and bond authorization carried with the group consent block of resolutions (G23–G28) passed 5–0.
The resolution delegates authority to the board president (as chief fiscal officer) to complete bond‑issuance details, including potential consolidation with other serial bond issues and compliance with SEC Rule 15c2‑12 for secondary‑market disclosure.
