The Oxford Academy & Central School Board of Education elected Julie Gates president and John Godfrey vice president during its July 6 reorganizational meeting and approved a package of routine appointments and authorizations for the 2026–27 school year.
The board voted 5–0 to elect Gates after a motion by Nathaniel Emerson, and later voted 5–0 to elect Godfrey as vice president. The board then approved Resolution G1, which lists key district appointments including Superintendent Nicholas A. Colosi; Clerk of the Board Michele Rice; Treasurer Erin Gramstad; Chief Information Officer Jennifer Davis; School Physician Dr. Jennifer O'Reilly; and official newspaper The Evening Sun (Norwich, NY). The resolution also names authorized depositories and maximum deposit limits for each (for example, NBT Bank, N.A. — $25,000,000; JP Morgan Chase — $15,000,000; Bank of America — $20,000,000; NYCLASS — $20,000,000; BNY Mellon — $15,000,000).
Agreed delegations include authority to approve budget transfers and change orders under $20,000 to Superintendent Colosi and approval of conference attendance and disposals by designated administrators. The motion approving the consent block of reorganizational resolutions (G1–G18) carried 5–0.
