The Umatilla School District Board met in executive session on Dec. 11 under ORS 192.660(2)(b) to consider allegations brought against a public employee. After returning to open session, Board Member Travis Eynon moved that the board acknowledge comments made by a resident at the November meeting, note that the complainant did not file an official complaint, report that the board investigated the allegations and found "a great deal of support for the actions taken by the superintendent and ... no support for the allegations made about the superintendent," and consider the matter closed. The motion was seconded by Board Member Toby Cranston and passed unanimously.
The minutes record the board's statement in full and list the vote as unanimous; no additional disciplinary action or formal complaint filing was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board cited ORS 192.660(2)(b) as the legal authority to meet in executive session for the matter.
