Board honors multiple retirees, trustees call long-serving staff "legends"

At the June 11 meeting the board recognized multiple retirees and presented commemorative retirement clocks to those in attendance; additional retirees who were not present were named and acknowledged.
Superintendent Heidi Sipe presented clocks to attendees including Corinne Funderburk, Mary Iovino and Dee Lorence. Board Member Travis Eynon praised retiring staff and called several of them "legends," noting that some had served more than 30 years.
The meeting also included special awards presented to April Dirksen and Bob Lorence. The board conveyed appreciation across several agenda items and in the meeting's recognition section.
