A board member moved to approve the cooperative agreement between Echo and Stanfield for girls wrestling for the 2025–26 school year; another member seconded and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The superintendent said OSAA required a midyear change last season because boys’ wrestling numbers forced a reclassification; he explained that a co-op means teams practice and compete together under a single name, while a collective practices together but competes separately at tournaments. "Co op means you practice together, you participate together under 1 name," the superintendent said, adding the motion was a precautionary step to avoid forfeiting matches if OSAA rules required it.
The board carried the motion to approve the cooperative agreement.
