Board told public can review SEL curriculum Oct. 17–Nov. 14; Wayfinder piloted at middle school

Emily Veale reviewed the Social Emotional Learning curriculum adoption process and told the board there will be a public view period from Oct. 17 to Nov. 14, 2025. Three digital curricula are available for review (one includes a consumable workbook). Middle school students are piloting the Wayfinder curriculum as part of the district’s review.
Veale named the curriculum adoption team, which includes Camron Pope, Michelle Lind, Emily Savage, Ian Dahl, Ryan Jephson, Halea Baca and Cassie Palmer, and said advocates from the 'belongings' team are involved as well. She told the board she will bring a recommendation on adoption by January 2026 at the latest.
