Finance staff updated the board on several capital projects. Miss Fleming said the district will post an RFP for digital marquees after receiving a quote higher than anticipated, and that Hood Construction completed a concrete pad near the track to receive new bleachers. She said the bleacher cost estimate is roughly $13,000 and that money for the project had been identified in a prior bond.
On safety and communications, Miss Fleming reported the district issued a purchase order to Converge to install new PA systems at four locations using safety-grant funds and bond money; she said the district expects to have about $300,000 remaining in available bond funds after the PA purchase. "We pushed out the purchase order for that today, with Converge," Miss Fleming said, and added that the principals were excited about the new PA systems and their functions.
