The board accepted a retirement letter from Palmyra High School teacher John Geisel, effective July 1, 2026, and approved several personnel hires and assignments listed in the agenda. Sean Scott was approved as a homebound instructor for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year; several substitute hires were approved pending paperwork and background checks.
A motion to approve compensation for staff who taught one additional instructional period (pro-rated for Oct. 14, 2025–Jan. 27, 2026) was made by Ms. Campbell and seconded by Mr. Toner. The minutes record a roll-call vote with 10 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions. Separately, the board approved Gregory Willis as a long-term substitute for middle school effective Jan. 12, 2026, through June 18, 2026; that action was recorded with a subsequent roll-call vote (ayes recorded as 9).
