At its March 25 meeting the Palmyra Board of Education accepted multiple grants and authorized contracts and applications designed to support instruction and student services.
The board accepted a Sustainable School Food Service and Cafeteria Initiative Grant for $15,000 and a Clean Air School Challenge Grant for $2,500 and accepted a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Lung Association related to that award. The board also accepted an agreement with Millenium Strategies to prepare and submit an application for the High Impact Tutoring Grant Program (FY 2026) on behalf of the district.
For technology, the board approved a lease-to-purchase agreement with SHI for new Chromebooks and staff desktops with an aggregate contract amount of $307,983.29 and an annual lease payment for the board of $84,116.96. The board also approved other vendor contracts and cooperative purchasing agreements for program and service delivery.
