Board approves revisions to class rank, nepotism and library material policies; opens first reading on staff sexual harassment policies

At its Jan. 21 meeting the Palmyra Board approved multiple policy and curriculum actions. Ms. Campbell, chair of Policy & Curriculum, told the board the committee discussed class rank and student achievement prior to the vote. The board approved new policy and regulation P 2535/R 2535 (Library Material) on second reading and reviewed P/R 1552 (Sexual Harassment — Staff) for a first reading.
The board also approved revisions to P 0142.1 (Nepotism), P 1220 (Employment of Chief School Administrator), P 5430 (Class Rank), and P 5440 (Honoring Student Achievement), and abolished earlier sexual-harassment policies and procedures (P 3362, R 3362; P 4352, R 4352) as noted in the agenda. These policy actions were recorded as part of the meeting’s consent and policy items.
